Challenge
Public sector leaders in Lesotho operate in complex, high-pressure environments that demand strong decision-making, emotional intelligence, adaptability and people leadership.
At RSL, there was a growing need to move beyond traditional training approaches and invest in leadership development that builds self-awareness, coaching capability and intentional leadership practice.
The challenge was clear: how do we equip leaders with tools that strengthen performance while also nurturing human-centred leadership, trust and accountability across teams?
Our Approach
Alchemy Inspiration delivered the Lesokoana Coaching Programme, a leadership development journey designed to embed coaching and mentoring principles into everyday leadership practice.
The programme blended practical leadership frameworks with experiential learning and reflective practice. Participants were guided through tools such as the GROW and FUEL coaching models, alongside Alchemy Inspiration’s proprietary leadership frameworks, including
B.A.T.O.N and LEG, to support:
• Intentional leadership development
• Effective communication and coaching conversations
• Emotional intelligence and self-mastery
• Trust-building and team performance
• Strategic thinking and delegation
Rather than focusing only on theory, the programme prioritised application, reflection and behavioural change, enabling leaders to integrate new skills directly into their work environments.
The Shift
The programme created a noticeable shift in leadership mindset and capability. Participants reported increased confidence in leading conversations, greater clarity in decision-making and improved ability to support and empower their teams. Many leaders described the experience as transformative, helping them move from reactive leadership to more purpose-driven, reflective and people-centred leadership practices.
Impact (In Progress)
Through the Lesokoana Coaching Programme, RSL leaders were equipped with practical tools that strengthened leadership capacity across the organisation.
